This was the first official Bear sponsored event ever - held at the Parliament House in Orlando. Five of us (Me, Richard Bulger, Steve Stafford, Joe Bear, and Art Kelley) flew to Orlando. It got a big write-up in the magazine with these photos featured.

This is a very special picture in a lot of ways... First, three of the original Lone Star crew is here. Starting 2nd from left: Steve Stafford, Joe Bear, the host, and Art Kelley. Joe Bear is wearing the prototype/test vest of the Lone Star logo vest -- which Steve had just designed - and the vest was just two days old. There are hundreds of vests and jackets out there with this design now, but at this point, there was just this one.
